Applications have been invited online from three corporations operating under the state government to identify eligible beneficiaries under various schemes and complete information about this has been shared in this column.
Currently, applications have been invited from Karnataka Okkaliga Community Development Corporation Limited, Karnataka Veerashaiva Lingayat Development Corporation Limited and D. Devaraj Arasu Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited. Eligible candidates have been given the opportunity to apply to get benefits under a total of ten schemes.

Karnataka State Nigama Details-Which Corporations have invited applications?
Applications have been invited online for the above schemes from the following three corporations under the state government.
1) Karnataka Vokkaliga Community Development Corporation Limited.
2) Karnataka Veerashaiva Lingayat Development Corporation Limited.
3) D. Devaraj Urs Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited.
Karnataka Nigama Yojanegalu-How much subsidy is given scheme-wise?
1) Education Loan:
Under this scheme, education loans are disbursed to students for higher education at very low interest rates by these three corporations.
2) Ganga Kalyana Yojane:
Farmers are given the opportunity to drill borewells free of cost under the Ganga Kalyana Yojane, with a total unit cost of ₹ 4.75 lakh.

3) Swavalambi Sarati Yojana:
Under this scheme, a maximum subsidy of ₹ 3.00 lakh will be provided by these three corporations to purchase four-wheeler taxis/goods vehicles/cars to start their own business.
4) Self-employment Loan Scheme/Business Loan:
Under this scheme, unemployed youth belonging to the respective corporation will be provided with a loan of up to ₹3.00 lakh at an interest rate of 4% and a subsidy of up to ₹30,000/- thousand to start their own business.
5) Free Sewing Machine Distribution/Uchita Holige Yantra:
Under this scheme, sewing machines will be distributed free of cost to candidates who have also received sewing training from the three corporations.
6) Skill Training Program:
Under this scheme, various short-term and advanced skill training will be provided to educated youth and employability will be provided.

7) Higher Education Loan scheme eme:
Under this scheme, education loans of up to ₹5.00 lakh at an interest rate of 2% will be provided to students belonging to the respective corporation and students who have taken admission in higher education under this scheme.
8) Vibhuti Making Unit Scheme:
Loans and subsidies are provided to the people of Veerashaiva-Lingayat community who make Vibhuti. This is a total unit of ₹4.00 lakhs, out of which Rs 3.60 lakhs are provided by the Corporation, Rs 40,000/- is provided as a subsidy.
9) Bhojanalaya Kendra:
The Lingayat Corporation provides loans and subsidies to the people of this community to start a hotel/restaurant under this scheme. This is a total unit of ₹5.00 lakhs, out of which Rs 40,000/- is provided as a subsidy and Rs 4.60 lakhs are provided as a loan through the bank under this scheme.
10) Kayakiran Yojana
This scheme is being implemented by the Lingayat Corporation and through this scheme, the unemployed of this category are provided with a loan of 4% interest for a total unit cost of Rs 2.00 lakh and a maximum subsidy of Rs 30,000 thousand by the corporation.

Who can apply?
To get the benefits of the above-mentioned schemes, the applicant must have the following qualifications.
- The applicant must belong to the category related to the respective corporation.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
- The candidate’s age should be between 21 years and 50 years.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should be within the limit of Rs. 98,000/- in rural areas and Rs. 1,20,000/- in urban areas.
- The applicant’s family members should not be in the service of the state and central government.
- Those who have previously received benefits under this scheme from the corporation are not allowed to apply.
