Self-reliance scheme for credit development: 5 lakh subsidy for poor people.
For the career development of economically backward Brahmin families, under the self-reliance and Sandipini Shishya Sage scheme offered by the Karnataka Brahmin Development Board, the Brahmin families who have taken loan from the Bank for self-employment will receive maximum Karnataka Government Social Welfare Minister Krishna Bairegowda said that 5 lakh rupees subsidy will be given.
Launching the DBT process of the corporation at his office in Bengaluru, he said, “Under this scheme, 20% of the loan amount will be subsidized. This subsidy is directly deposited in the bank. Through this scheme economically backward Brahmin families will be able to start or develop their self employment. I hope that lakhs of Brahmin families will be able to lead a better life with this project,” he said.
Swalambhi Yojana
The Karnataka government has announced a new scheme to encourage self-employment of economically backward Brahmin families. Under this scheme, maximum subsidy of 5 lakhs will be given to Brahmins who take loans from nationalized banks and establish self-employment.
The amount of subsidy depends on the loan amount availed by the candidate. A subsidy of 20 percent of the loan amount or up to a maximum of 5 lakhs is provided.
Eligible candidates should apply by 31st January 2024. Applications can be obtained from the website of Karnataka Brahmin Development Board : https://ksbdb.karnataka.gov.in/ or from their specific offices.
Who are eligible for this loan?:
Entrepreneurs who want to take loans from nationalized banks and set up profitable businesses such as trading, shops, dairy farming, tailoring, toy manufacturing, mobile shops, cottage industry etc. with high unit cost and revenue generation can apply for this scheme.
This scheme is a great opportunity for the economically backward Brahmin families of Karnataka to establish self-employment and improve their economic status.
Sandipini Shishya scholarship Yojana:
Karnataka State Government has launched “Sandipini Shishya Scholarship Yojana” to make education easier for poor Brahmin students. Under this scheme, 15,000 rupees will be given to Brahmin male/female students studying first and second PUC after Matriculation. Pupil stipend is given up to 15,000 scholarship
For Brahmin students who have passed the CET entrance test for various courses including UG/PG, 2/3rd of the enrollment fee amount and a maximum of Rs. 1 lakh will be paid by the government.
This scheme plays a significant role in paving the path of education for poor Brahmin students. Students who get education under this scheme will be able to achieve their educational goals and will be able to create a better future. January 31 is the last day to apply for this scheme.
